Plums

Today we had a very exiting meeting with mr Mitchell, Mr Mitchell explained what we are going to do so he asked for some good Looking, strong, intelligent. so he choose Ethan, Evan, and Me but then Ethan stood up a and said that I wasn't good looking. then mr Mitchell told Ethan to sit down and Kody replaced him so mr Mitchell took us down to his car and got the tools and ladder. for the plums we took a walk down to the garden and picked some plums with mr Tisches class. we got ten kilos of plums then we were talking about making plum jam or plum sauce. but I thought about jelly doughnuts This is the end of my writing I hope you enjoyed what we went through.

crazy crystals

Aim: To learn about a saturated solution and how to make crystals

Borax Crystals

Materials:

1) Borax 
2) Cup
3) Pipe cleaner 
4) Spoon
5) Hot Water

Process:

Step 1 Pour hot water then borax use 3 teaspoons and put it in the cup  and stir with spoon

Step 2 fold pipe line into a star and put peg on it 

Step 3 stir till disolved 

Step 4 put star in gently with peg 

Step 5 grab piece of paper and write everyone in your groups name eg) Ruavai,  Shikarn, and kadyn

Step 6 wait for quite awhile 

Sugar

Meterials 
1) sugar 
2) one pipe cleaner 
3) hot water
4) a peg

Process
Step 1 Pour hot water in cup with sugar

Step 2 Stir till disolve

Step 3 Attach peg on pipe cleaner

Step 4 Dip in water 


Salt 

Process
1) salt 
2) warm water
3) spoon
4) cup
5) peg
6) pipe cleaner

Process
Step 1 pour warm water in cup and get one teaspoon of salt 

Step 2 stir till disolved

Step 3 put peg on pipe cleaner and dip it in 

Step 4 grab paper write name 

The compost clean out

Our job is……..

To make a better place in the world and so the native birds are welcome in our area. We are doing this because we show respect to the native birds.

Today we……

Went for a walk around the driveway and experienced new things about trees we went around the compost we went around

 the garden and picked out some plums that big red juicy plums they are sweet 

and they are juicy they are very round

Then mark took us around the back yard and then we walked back to class

 

Present 

We went a around the back and cleaned out the compost area we dug a massive hole and found lots but then we got told not to we made a massive

Improvement when we were doing it we took photos of all the rubbish we were able to get loads of rubbish mr Mitchell took some pictures. 

 So feel free to look at them and by the way we were doing this till period 1

Science

Kia ora I'm a student in j block I'm in 78al and I'm blogging about a cool science experiment
Here is a introduction or if you want to read the instructions it is just down bellow
Dirty water

Aim: Try to make your bottle leak. The leak is the best.


These are the items you need for your science experiment
Materials
1. Sand
2. Bottle
3. Pebbles
4.Dirty Water
5.filter
6. Cup

Process
Step:1 Cut the bottle open in the centre  and get rid of sticker

Step:2 Get the filter and make it into a cone then put it at the top of the bottle that you cut of.

Step:3: Then pour sand into the filter and pat it down softly

Step: 4 get half a cup of pebbles and pour on top of the sand

Step: 5 Then get a cup of dirty water and pour over the pebbles.

Results:

The water should slowly drip in the bottom of the bottle… If does well done you good

If the water pours in fast you may have done something wrong.

Stop motion

In term one we were doing stop motion, stop motion is like a movie we learnt that we had to start off with a story board before we get to taping it we have 3 choices

Narrator Nothing built can last forever and every story has a end. Such as four friends are stuck in prison for quite awhile there goal was to escape and go and save gerald the green dragon but there is a massive terror blocking the way The BFG (stands for Big Fat Grizzly Giant) Introducing Alex the smart one Samuel the one who thinks he’s brave but actually he isn't steve the attacker  loves to attack his opponents now introducing Gerald the fat green puffy dragon who thinks he is confident and thinks a he has what it takes to rescue his friends who are locked away guarded by the BFG and the only one his size is is Gerald the dragon who thinks he can take on the BFG.


Alex:        (screams)

Guard:      what is it you girl

Alex           where's Gerald my dragon

Guard      you mean this little pip squeak is yours

Gerald.    (munching on cookie) then smiles

Guard.     yeah this dragon of yours was in the kitchen eating my cookies if I see him again I will inhalat this Gerald of yours understood

Steve          sneaks up behind the guards and hits him over the head with a baseball bat and knocks him out.  Right thats him out of the way now to get past the Giant steve tries to run past but

Bfg        catches Steve and knocks him out with one smack

Gerald      bites Bfg in the eye and comes tumbling down and smacks his head and gets knocked out.             But then Bfg threw gerald and Gerald breaks his wings but still can fight Gerald picks steve up and goes to find the sell their friends are in. As they walk past they finally come to where there friends are quick Gerald knocks down the bars and lets Ellie out come on lets get of this mad place.

Guard         groans what happened Huh escaped prisoners sound the alarm but then Gerald stopped time and ran as fast as he could then saw the button and made a trip wire and but one peralizing needle in guard then Gerald farted then stole key card then went back and played time.  Gerald typed the numbers into the pad and the gates open slowly.  The gate finally opened   and Gerald said hope on my back Ellie quick the guards are coming Gerald leaped into the air and flew at full speed got out just in time.  Where are we going said Elie we are going to my cave well be safe there.  When they got to the cave Gerald set steve down.

We did a stop motion based on made up characters and characters by Ronald Dahl we enjoyed working on this script and I'm pretty sure you will to so I hope you enjoyed reading my post for today thanks Bye
